To Pieces

Broken on arrival
So we gather up what's left of us
And put the pieces where we think they go
This one is heavy, maybe
It goes over here by chance
And that one over there, be careful
It has cut me more than once

Heading off to battle
Or returning from, with either one
We put our pieces where they shouldn't go
This slot is empty, maybe
It got lost along the way
And that one wouldn't go, I'll have to grow
To where it stays in place

Although the sun is in our eyes
We leave the shadows behind
I know it's hard to see, it's hard to see
It's hard to see but I believe

I'll meet you at the table
Where the Farmer's love will wait on us
And put our pieces where they need to go
And if I'm ready, maybe
This time I will be made whole
Or even more, my soul restored
And everyone made beautiful

Although the sun is in our eyes
We leave the shadows behind
I know it's hard to see, hard to see
It's hard to see but I believe

Longing

History I regret
All the thoughtless things I do
No one else around
Eyes faced towards the ground
Why do I forget?
I belong to you

Many times I retreat
Cling to something new
Vacant in my eyes, It is no surprise
I have to repeat
I belong to you

I'm a lifetime member
To a love that's always true
I can clearly see
You give it all to me
When I remember
I belong to you

So close to victory
I am almost through
Find me near the fuse
Thinking it's no use
Someone remind me
I belong to you

Foolish Gospel

This foolish gospel . . .

Why on earth would anyone choose
If by this path on earth we lose?

How can we continue to praise?
Relinquishing life is what we face

Since it all ends when I start to forgive
It's going to be awful tough to live with . . .

Why in death would I care to be saved
If while alive I'm still afraid?

How am I supposed to behave?
This trail meanders to the grave

Since it all ends when I start to forgive
It's going to be awful tough to live
I guess this gospel is ill-advised
But I guess this gospel is wise

Worry Less

Food for comfort
Food for reward
Eating more junk when we're bored

I make poor decisions
When I make more decisions
To make up for decisions
That I make that are poor
Oh, what to let go
Now to lighten up this load
When it is doubtful dropping all
Will be a success
So lets start small
And worry less

Work for comfort
Work for reward
Making more junk when we're bored

I make poor decisions . . .

Junk for comfort
Junk for reward
Buying more junk when we're bored

I make poor decisions . . .

After The Feast

Friends what we have been
Friends what we have been about here
Friends what we have been
Is not separate

Friends what we have been
Friends what we have been about here
Friends what we have been

Let it be so so
Let it be so
Let it be so so

Let it be so so
Let it be so
Let it be so so

Rather these acts have been reminder we belong always everywhere
Rather these acts have been reminder we belong always everywhere

Let it be so so
Let it be so
Let it be so so

The Toddler

Toddler won't take a nap
Toddler won't take a nap
I want to take a nap
But my toddler won't take a nap

Toddler won't eat the food
Toddler won't eat the food
I have to eat all the leftover food
'Cause my toddler won't eat the food

Toddler won't take a bath
Toddler won't take a bath
Toddler is finally taking a bath
Now my toddler won't get out of the bath

Toddler won't sing this song
Toddler won't sing this song
I want a toddler or two to sing along
But my toddler wants to sing another song
